Nov 14, 2021 – Online Ecstatic Dance This Sunday
Dear Dancing Friends,
First of all, THANK YOU to all who attended our first “in person” Ecstatic Dance on the 4th of July! (We definitely celebrated freedom that day!)
It was incredible to dance with you in person after a year and a half of being on “retreat” so to speak. And as I tuned in after the dance, I felt guided to once again press the “pause button”. . . just before the smoke and delta variant drifted into our valley. So what, at first, felt like a new beginning, felt a little like Groundhog Day; as we peaked out from our caves, saw our shadow, and realized “winter” wasn’t quite over!
On a more personal note, my life has been “on hold” over the past few months. After that last dance, I was due to head back east to be with my Mom for knee replacement surgery and in the meantime, my Dad found out he needs to have 3 stents placed in his heart. So over the past few months, surgeries have been scheduled and rescheduled and I’ve been on hand to help them through this journey.
I am now scheduled to head back on Nov 17th and return on Dec 11th, and timing feels right to hold an Online Ecstatic Dance before I go; as we have just entered Eclipse Season along with some powerful planetary transits. I won’t go into all the details, but here’s the dates along with a moment to center yourself from Sarah Varcas:
“The final eclipse season of 2021 began on November 5th and features a lunar eclipse on November 18th, followed by a solar eclipse on December 3rd (also a supermoon), before ending on December 10th. Two weeks later we encounter the final exact square between Saturn and Uranus on December 24th, bringing yet another extraordinary year to a close.
But right now, before you do anything else, take a deep breath. Draw your spine straight. Look directly ahead with an unwavering gaze. Feel yourself rooted deep within the earth, plugged into a circuit that receives energy from all directions: above and below, from every side. Feel this energy flowing into you, through you, all around you. Embrace the part you play in that energy circuit. Feel how crucial you are to that energetic flow. Feel it recharging you as you weave it into your own unique vibration shared, in return, with the wider energetic field.
Remember this feeling – the strength and vibrancy. Return to it often, throughout your day. Whenever you can just stop, take a deep breath, hold a steady gaze and feel who and what you really are. This is the truth of you and of me. Energy: flowing, revitalizing, resilient, renewing, recalibrating. This is the Self that nothing and no one can diminish, enslave or destroy. This is who we are.
The thing is this: shit’s about to happen. More and more people are opening their eyes and have absolutely had enough. But the challenge is far from over. There is no going back, only onward into a new world.”
In the meantime, I also learned that the Sabian Symbol for this Lunar Eclipse is “a woman in mid life stands in the sudden realization of an unexpected romance.” So although lunar eclipses are about endings, the general energy connected to this eclipse season is about RENEWAL- at a time when you may have thought all opportunities were over and you may be in a place of hopelessness. And the energy of renewal will continue with the New Moon Solar Eclipse and the final square between Saturn and Uranus.
So if it feels right, I invite you to join us this Sunday online, and “Be with those who help your being” (that quote’s by Rumi) . . . during these challenging and exciting times of change!
Peace & Love, Diane
