Dear Dancing Friends,
“Every New Beginning comes from some other beginnings end.” – Seneca
I know for me lately, on a deep somatic level, I’m really learning to be more and more o.k. with whatever life brings. Even the hard and challenging times, and difficult emotions that may arise (that I may sometimes judge as not being spiritual) . . . and as I’m learning to be more comfortable with all of it, I am able to see the gifts that are present in all of my experiences. And more and more, I’m recognizing this isn’t a path about self improvement but a path of self acceptance.
So let’s take some time this Sunday to honor this past year . . . as we welcome in this New Year. Recognizing that all that happened in 2021, whether we liked it or not, has brought us to this very moment.
“There’s nothing wrong and nothing to be fixed.” And even though this idea may sound passive and come from a place of inaction, it’s not. It’s more about learning to hold a place of compassion for ourselves and allowing ourselves to be wherever we need to be. And from this place of acceptance, the next action arises on its’ own. Not from some need to fix or change the situation . . . but as the next evolutionary part of our journey.
So join me, and bring it ALL to our virtual dance floor . . . . where I invite us to hold space for whatever wants to arise; knowing that wherever we are and whatever we are feeling is o.k. . . . and a necessary part of our journey.
I offer you blessings for this New Year . . . and wish you grace & ease on your journey!
Thank you for being on this planet at this time! (I know it ain’t easy at times! . . . and please know that wherever you are on your journey, YOU ARE CHANGING THE WORLD; just by being here and being willing to hold space for all these places you find inside yourself. And as we each learn to hold these places in ourselves, we can hold these places for others.)
A SLIGHT CHANGE: I’ve decided to have warm up music for the first 20 minutes from 10:30am-10:50am so we have some time to really drop in. Feel free to join in whenever you would like, and use the warmup to rest, stretch, meditate and/or move in whatever way would feel most nourishing. I find it helpful to just ask myself, “what do I need right now” and listen to what my body, mind and soul need in the moment.
